A November update from Caylee, HookHub Founder

Hey everyone,

It’s been a wild year. If you’ve been following along, you know we launched in January, expanded to nine states by July, and somehow ended up in over 1,800 news placements across outlets like Yahoo Finance, Associated Press, and MarketWatch.

But November? November was different.

This month, we didn’t just announce growth. We announced evolution.

The Mobile App Is Here.

I’m not going to bury the lead. After months of development, testing, and more, the HookHub mobile app is officially live.

You can download it right now. iOS. Android. Both.

And honestly? I’m more excited about this than any press coverage we’ve ever received.

Here’s why.

When we launched HookHub, we built it as a web platform. It worked. People could list their properties. Travelers could book spots. The system functioned. But every time I talked to a host or a traveler, I heard the same thing: “I wish I could do this from my phone.”

Hosts wanted to manage bookings on the go. Travelers wanted to browse spots while they were already on the road. Everyone wanted notifications. Everyone wanted easier communication.

Everyone wanted a mobile.

So we built it.

The app isn’t just a mobile version of the website. It’s better. Faster booking. Real-time notifications. Easier messaging between hosts and travelers. Smoother navigation. Everything you need to host or travel is right in your pocket.

We soft-launched it a few weeks ago to a small group of users. The feedback was immediate: “This is what we needed from day one.”

They were right. And now it’s available for everyone.

But We Didn’t Stop There

While we were building the app, we were also working on something bigger behind the scenes: strategic platform integration.

I know that sounds like corporate jargon. Let me translate.

We integrated HookHub with the tools and platforms our hosts and travelers already use. Calendar syncing. Payment processing. Booking management. Communication tools. We made it so HookHub fits seamlessly into your workflow, not the other way around.

For hosts, this means less manual work. Your HookHub calendar can sync with your other calendars. Your payouts are automated. Your guest communication is streamlined. You’re not juggling multiple systems anymore. Everything works together.

For travelers, this means a smoother experience. Faster bookings. Clearer communication. Better search. Less friction between “I want to book this spot” and “I’m checked in and enjoying it.”

We didn’t just build a platform. We built a system that actually works the way you need it to work.

Then Something Unexpected Happened

A few weeks ago, someone on our team searched for HookHub on ChatGPT. This was purely curiosity.

And there we were. ChatGPT knew about us. It could answer questions about what we do, how we work, and who we serve.

Then we checked Perplexity. Same thing. Microsoft Copilot. Google AI. Grok AI. These are all major AI platforms. HookHub was indexed across every major AI platform.

I won’t lie. That felt surreal.

We’re not just discovered through Google anymore. We’re discovering through the tools people are actually using to search for information. When someone asks an AI chatbot, “Where can I find unique RV parking spots?” or “How can I make money from my unused land?”

HookHub shows up in the answer.

That’s not something we paid for. That’s not something we manipulated. That’s just what happens when you build something real, get covered by credible news outlets, and solve a problem people are actually searching for.

Oh, and We’re on Podcasts Now Too

This one surprised me.

Our November announcement didn’t just land in traditional news outlets. It landed on podcasts. YouTube. Spotify. Apple Podcasts. Amazon Music,  iHeart,  PlayerFM. Boomplay.

People are talking about HookHub in audio format. Podcast hosts are discussing what we’re building. Listeners are discovering us through conversations, not just articles.

I didn’t expect that. But it makes sense. RV travel is a lifestyle. Land ownership is a topic people care about. Sustainable tourism matters. Of course, people are talking about it.

And now, when they talk about it, HookHub is part of the conversation.

What Does This All Mean

Here’s the thing about November. We didn’t just launch a mobile app. We didn’t just integrate with other platforms. We didn’t just get indexed by AI chatbots or featured on podcasts.

We became infrastructure.

HookHub isn’t just a startup anymore. We’re a platform that works across devices, integrates with the tools you already use, shows up when people search for solutions, and gets discussed in the places where real conversations happen.

We’re not trying to disrupt the RV travel industry. We’re trying to build something that actually serves the people in it. Hosts who want to make money from their land. Travelers who want authentic experiences. Communities that want sustainable tourism.

And we’re doing it.

The Press Coverage (Because You’re Probably Wondering)

Yes, we got covered again. 576 placements this time. Yahoo Finance. Associated Press. MarketWatch. Benzinga. Apple News. TV stations nationwide are involved. The usual suspects.

But here’s what I’ve learned after three rounds of major press coverage: the placements don’t matter as much as what happens after.

The January coverage validated our mission. The July coverage validated our execution. The November coverage? It validated our staying power.

We are not a fleeting startup. We’re building something that lasts. Something that grows. Something that matters.

Investor Momentum (The Part I’m Not Supposed to Talk About Too Much)

I’ll keep this brief because we’re not ready to make a full announcement yet. But yes, investors are paying attention. Yes, we’re in conversations. Yes, there’s momentum.

What I will say is this: we’re not raising money just to raise money. We’re raising money to build better tools, expand faster, and serve our community at a higher level.

The mobile app? That’s just the beginning. We have plans for features you haven’t seen yet. Expansions into markets we haven’t entered yet. Partnerships that will make HookHub even more valuable for hosts and travelers.

But we’re doing it the right way. We’re building sustainably. We’re listening to our community. We’re not chasing hype. We’re chasing impact.

What Comes Next

Download the app. Seriously. Whether you’re a host or a traveler, it’s going to make your life easier.

If you’ve been thinking about listing your property, now is the time. The platform is better than it’s ever been. The community is growing. The demand is real.

If you’re a traveler looking for unique RV spots, we’ve got hundreds of properties across multiple states. And now you can browse them, book them, and manage your trips all from your phone.

If you’re following along because you believe in what we’re building, thank you. You’re the reason we keep going.

We launched in January. We expanded in July. We evolved in November.

And we’re just getting started.

P.S. We’re now indexed on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Grok AI, and Google AI.

Which means if you ask any of those platforms about RV hosting or land sharing, there’s a good chance HookHub shows up in the answer. That’s pretty cool.

Founder & CEO

Caylee Shea Harrington experienced firsthand how unstable RV life can become when safe, affordable options disappear after living full-time in her RV and losing access to long-term parking without warning. Driven by the realization that existing platforms didn’t serve RVers or landowners fairly, she leveraged over seven years of full-stack engineering experience and a background in community leadership at Women Who Code to build Hookhub from the ground up. Today, she leads product development with a human-centric approach, ensuring the platform delivers the transparency, fairness, and sustainable solutions that modern RV park hosts and guests deserve.

"I lived the problem. I felt the panic of losing a place to stay. Hookhub exists because people deserve better options than that."
