We’re Growing Faster Than We Expected

How HookHub Went From 321 Placements to 905 in Six Months

Six months ago, I wrote about our launch. I wrote about the moment we hit 321 news placements.

We felt validated when we saw HookHub featured in outlets like Business Insider, Associated Press, and Yahoo Finance.

I thought that was big.

Then July happened.

The Expansion

By mid-2025, we’d grown beyond what we initially planned. We started in Arizona. Then we expanded to nine states. Our host community was growing. Our traveler community was growing. The demand was real, and it was everywhere.

We decided to announce our expansion. It felt like a natural moment to tell the story of what we’d built in those first six months.

We sent out the press release on July 11th.

And then the phone started ringing.

Not metaphorically. Literally. Our team was fielding calls from news outlets wanting to cover the story. TV stations were reaching out. National outlets were interested. Regional outlets were interested. Everyone wanted to know more about HookHub.

By the time we finished counting, we had 905 placements.

I had to read that number three times to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating.

What 905 Placements Look Like

It’s not just numbers on a spreadsheet. It’s KTLA in Los Angeles. It’s WGN in Chicago. It’s Fox affiliates in Denver, Kansas City, and San Diego. It’s local news anchors in markets we hadn’t even launched in yet, talking about HookHub like it was already part of their community.

It’s Bloomberg Terminal. It’s TradingView. They’re outlets we’d never heard of, reaching audiences we didn’t know existed.

It’s 200 million in potential reach.

But here’s what it really is: it’s proof that we’re solving a real problem at scale.

The Difference Between January and July

In January, we announced a new platform. We were introducing an idea. We were saying, “This problem exists, and we’re solving it.”

In July, we announced growth. We were saying, “This problem exists, we’re solving it, and it’s working.”

That’s a different story. That’s a story about momentum.

The press picked up on it immediately. Because momentum is news. Growth is news. Success is news.

But what made the July coverage different wasn’t just the numbers. It was the story behind the numbers.

We had hosts who were actually making money. We had travelers who were actually finding unique spots. We had a community that was actually forming. We had proof.

What This Situation Means for HookHub

Honestly? It means we’re making significant progress.

Receiving coverage from 905 news outlets is not because you’re lucky. It’s because you’re solving a real problem in a way that matters to people. It’s because journalists see the value. It’s because the story resonates.

The press coverage validated our mission in January. The July coverage validated our execution.

We’re not just an idea anymore. We’re a platform that works. We’re a community that’s growing. We provide a solution that actively addresses the problem.

But Here’s What Matters Most

The press placements are cool. They’re validating. They’re great for credibility.

But they’re not the real story.

The real story is the host in Texas who listed their property and made $2,000 in their first month.

The real story is the RV traveler who found a unique coastal spot they never would have discovered otherwise. The real story is the landowner who realized their unused property could generate income.

That’s the story the press coverage doesn’t capture. But that’s the story that matters.

What’s Changed Since January

Our team is bigger. Our platform is better. Our community is stronger. We’ve processed more bookings. We’ve helped more hosts. We’ve served more travelers.

We’ve also learned a lot. We’ve learned what hosts need. We’ve learned what travelers want. We’ve learned how to make the platform work better, faster, and more reliably.

We’ve learned that this idea isn’t just viable. It’s essential.

Where We Go From Here

We’re not stopping. We’re expanding further. We’re building better tools. We’re making the platform smoother. We’re listening to you and building what you need.

We’re also staying grounded. We’re not getting caught up in the hype. We’re focused on one thing: making sure every host and every traveler has a wonderful experience on HookHub.

The press coverage is excellent. But it’s not why we do this.

We do this because we believe in sustainable tourism. We believe in helping landowners generate income. We believe in giving RV travelers access to unique, authentic experiences.

We do such stuff because it matters.

Your Role in This Story

Here’s what I want you to know: you’re not just using a platform. You’re part of a movement.

When you list your property on HookHub, you’re saying, “I believe in this.” When you book a spot on HookHub, you’re saying, “I believe in this.” When you share your experience with friends, you’re saying, “I believe in this.”

That belief is what turned 321 placements into 905. That belief is going to turn 905 into something even bigger.

We featured in outlets like KTLA, WGN, Fox affiliates across the country, Bloomberg Terminal, TradingView, and hundreds more. But the real coverage? It’s you. It’s your stories. It’s your experiences.

That’s what matters.

Ready to Be Part of This?

If you’re a landowner thinking about hosting, now is the time. The demand is real. The community is growing. We’ve proven we can execute.

If you’re an RV traveler looking for something different, we’ve got unique spots waiting for you.

If you are already part of HookHub? Thank you. You’re the reason this works.

Let’s keep building.

P.S. We went from 321 placements to 905 in six months. But that’s not the impressive part. The impressive part is what’s happening on the ground: real hosts, real travelers, and real community. That’s the story we’re most proud of.
